The Destination South Ayrshire app is a comprehensive visitor guide. It includes recommendations on places to visit, stay and eat, plus self-guided trails.
Destination South Ayrshire evolved from the Ayr Through the Ages self-guided trails app initially developed back in 2016 by AT Creative. It’s role was to bring the town to life through a number of engaging story-based trails. Following its success the South Ayrshire Council felt the app should be expanded to cover the whole county.
This free handy pocket guide to South Ayrshire, in the west coast region of Scotland, shares content with the corresponding website. Many of the trails are only found in the app along with fun interactive features such as the selfie filters that were in the original Ayr Through The Ages app.
Favourite places of interest and create itineraries to ensure the best is made of every visit. Interactive mapping makes it easy to find and navigate to any of the 200+ places featured in the app.
