Ross-on-Wye Town Council has launched a new self-guided walking trails app that helps locals and visitors learn more about the beautiful and historic town.
The app is free to download and will include walks around the Ross-on-Wye area with designated stops along the way. The first walk included on the app is Ross-on-Wye Highlights which takes you on a walk through the town centre and to part of the river area, while enjoying eight different historical stops along the way. More trails will be added to the app over the coming months, along with further
development of content and audio.
The app was built using AT Creative’s self-guided trails app platform. The project took four months to complete from project kick off to the apps launching.
We were keen to have an app which allowed us to add additional trails too and edit existing ones, which would mean we needed full control of the software. We felt AT Creative fitted this brief perfectly and clearly understood what we wanted and needed. AT Creative made the process easy to understand and really took the time to explain everything. They also provided training on how to edit the app, which is actually pretty simple! We have received many comments from downloaders who have expressed their delight at the ease of use, and also provided some great feedback on potential additions.
