The Mayflower self-guided tours app has been released to mark the ‘Mayflower 400’ anniversary year in 2020.
Mayflower 400 is an international commemoration that tells the story of the Mayflower voyage to the New World and the early story of the Pilgrims who travelled on that ship.
A free accompanying iOS and Android app was required to provide access to the complex story and offer self-guided trail options across eleven English destinations that included Plymouth where the Pilgrims set sail for America on the Mayflower in 1620. However, the story reaches further and a flexible solution was needed to also include a walking tour of Leiden in Holland where the Pilgrims stayed before setting sail in the Mayflower to Plymouth Massachusetts, USA. The Places & Trails platform fit the bill!
AT Creative are really easy to work with, being responsive and understanding the needs of the project and our objectives. The trails app solution is straightforward and offers a user friendly experience in addition to being practical to use and upload content to. The AT team were always on hand to offer advice and support. We’re delighted with the Digital Trail and it will be great asset for visitors to the Mayflower destinations during the commemoration year and beyond.
