The walking and cycling app for has been designed to help users discover the hidden gems of the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border.
From historic landmarks to serene nature reserves, the app offers a curated selection of the best walking and cycling routes, with fully detailed descriptions, providing all essential information you need before you set out. Whether you’re hiking, biking or out for a Sunday stroll with the family, the North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire (NDNN) trails app is your dedicated local guide.
We commissioned AT Creative to develop an App to promote the trails around North Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, and the results have been fantastic; we’ve ended up with so much more than we initially expected! AT Creative went the extra mile to develop fun and engaging content for different audiences, including writing poems about mini-beasts and developing augmented reality cartoon animals, which we geolocated along the trails to promote the natural environment. We now have a great platform to showcase the area, and on which we can easily add new content. AT Creative have made the whole process so easy, from start to finish, and I’d personally like to thank Dan and the team for all the care and attention they have shown throughout…..many thanks!

The app was formed around the flagship route; the Bolsover Loop, a 26-mile walking and cycling trail that weaves through the stunning landscapes where Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire meet. AT Creative developed the app and researched and developed many of the featured trails.
The project was developed in partnership with Bolsover District Council, Dragonfly Management (Bolsover) Ltd, Bolsover Countryside Partnership and local artist Lucie Maycock.
